Ready to learn Mahjong or sharpen your beginner skills? Join us for our two-week Mahjong 101 & 102 Series at The Clubhouse in Park Ridge! This series is designed to take you from learning the fundamentals of the game to building confidence through guided play and strategy.
🀄 Mahjong 101 – August 24 Learn the foundations of American Mahjong in a fun, welcoming environment. We'll cover:
Tile identification and suits
Setting up the game and building the walls
The Charleston
Reading the NMJL card
Calling tiles and basic gameplay
🀄 Mahjong 102 – August 31 Ready for the next step? In our follow-up session you'll:
Practice through guided play
Strengthen your understanding of the NMJL card
Learn better hand selection
Gain confidence making decisions during live games
Review common mistakes and helpful tips
📅 Dates: August 24 & 31 ⏰ Time: 6:00–8:00 PM 📍 Location: The Clubhouse, 222 Prospect Ave., 3rd Floor, Park Ridge 💲 Cost: $100 per person and includes both classes.
Whether you've never touched a Mahjong tile or want a refresher before joining open plays and leagues, this series is the perfect place to start. By the end of the two sessions, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to sit down and play with others.
Please bring your current NMJL card if you have one. If not, no worries—we'll have cards available to reference during class.
Booking Policy
All ticket sales are final. Your spot is yours to give—if you're unable to attend, you're welcome to send a friend in your place at any time. However, because our classes are intentionally kept small, tickets cannot be exchanged, transferred to another date, or credited toward future events.
