I’m a pediatrician, mom of 3, and completely mahjong obsessed — and I’d love to help you fall in love with the game too.

I started playing just over a year ago, and what began as curiosity quickly turned into a full-blown passion. I’m the person texting friends to set up games, hunting for open play tables, and happily rearranging my schedule just to squeeze in another game. If there’s a mahjong table nearby, I want in. My favorite hand? FFFF 2468 222 222 — and yes, I get way too excited when I get a mahjong!

Teaching mahjong has become one of my favorite things because I truly love sharing this game with new players. My teaching style is supportive and low-pressure — just learning, laughing, and getting confident enough to play for real.

When I’m not at work, at the table, or setting up the next game, you’ll usually find me hanging out with my golden retriever, Molly — who has become very familiar with the sound of tiles shuffling.

Group Lesson: 8 People; $400

Mahjong lessons are $50 per person. The $400 covers a total of 8 people attending the lesson. If more than eight players attend the class, an additional fee of $50 per person will be required at the time of service. You provide the space, and I handle everything else needed to play and learn Mahjong. I bring all the materials and expertise to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone. All bookings must be within a 30-minute radius of Park Ridge; locations beyond this will incur an additional travel fee or be subject to cancellation.
