I am a longtime kindergarten teacher who truly loves playing and teaching mahjong.

For years I worked with little ones, so patience comes naturally to me. Teaching kindergarten also taught me how to take big ideas and break them down into simple, manageable steps — and that’s exactly how I approach mahjong. Whether you’re learning the basics or working through the trickier parts of the game, I’ll guide you step by step so it feels clear, comfortable, and genuinely fun.

Mahjong isn’t just a game — it’s a way to be present, think strategically, and truly connect with the people around you. It’s good for your mind, your mood, and just plain enjoyable. There’s a reason mahjong is winning new fans every single day!

Getting to teach alongside my daughter, Samantha, and be part of the North Shore Mahjong community she’s built makes this even more special to me. Watching it grow and seeing so many people gather around these tables has been such a joy.

Group Lesson: 8 People; 400

Lessons are $50 per person. If more than eight players attend the class, an additional fee of $50 per person will be required at the time of service. You provide the space, and I handle everything else needed to play and learn Mahjong. I bring all the materials and expertise to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone. All bookings must be within a 30-minute radius of Libertyville; locations beyond this will incur an additional travel fee or be subject to cancellation.
